Recruiters and HR managers face several pain points in current hiring workflows:
Fragmented tools (resume parsing, testing platforms, interviews, and onboarding systems are disconnected).
Time-consuming shortlisting and repetitive candidate screenings.
Lack of transparency for candidates regarding their status.
High costs of manual processes and dependency on external agencies.
Difficulty maintaining candidate experience at scale.
We interviewed both recruiters and candidates to understand expectations:
Recruiters want faster shortlisting, transparent pipelines, and collaborative dashboards.
Candidates want clarity, fairness, and convenience, especially with mobile-first applications.
Both groups emphasized reducing redundancy (no repeated manual forms, same questions in multiple interviews).
We reviewed leading players like HireVue, Lever, Workable, and Zoho Recruit.
Strengths of competitors: Strong assessment tools, integrations, and reporting.
Weaknesses: Limited end-to-end automation, fragmented candidate experience, high pricing for SMBs.
We ran low-fidelity prototypes with recruiters and candidates.
Key feedback:
Recruiters loved the dashboard clarity but requested more filter and search flexibility.
Candidates appreciated status visibility and asynchronous video responses.
Both groups asked for a mobile-optimized workflow.
Defined primary personas: Recruiters, Hiring Managers, and Candidates.
Mapped end-to-end journey from job posting to offer issuance.
Identified frustration points (lack of updates, duplicate tasks, admin burden).
The platform was divided into 5 main modules:
Application & Shortlisting → Resume parsing, keyword match, status updates.
Automated Assessments → Aptitude & soft skills tests.
Technical Video Interviews → Predefined or on-demand, AI analysis.
Hiring Manager Collaboration → Review, comment, rate candidates.
Offer Management & Onboarding → E-signature, secure document uploads.
We created low-fidelity recruiter dashboards to bring clarity to the workflow and ensure a seamless experience. Additionally, we designed candidate-facing flows with progress trackers to enhance transparency and engagement throughout the application process. The designs were iterated multiple times based on valuable feedback from both recruiters and candidates before moving on to the final visual designs.
Dashboards with data-rich visualizations for recruiters.
Candidate portals designed to feel approachable and transparent.
Every screen designed with a single primary action (e.g., “Schedule Interview,” “Submit Assessment”).
Recruiters can drag-and-drop candidates across hiring stages.
Candidates can record video responses at their own convenience.
